VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: HOUSE MANAGER
High Tide Theatrical is seeking a dedicated and organized House Manager to join our team in a volunteer capacity. This role is essential to ensuring an exceptional experience for our patrons while supporting the smooth operation of performances.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Patron Experience Manager, the House Manager oversees front-of-house operations during performances, ensuring the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, a warm and professional demeanor, and the ability to work with volunteers and production staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patrons during performances
- Oversee audience seating and assist with any accessibility needs
- Manage front-of-house volunteers (ushers, box office assistants) during events, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities
- Ensure the venue is clean and prepared before each performance
- Communicate with the stage manager and production team regarding house openings, audience concerns, and show timing
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance the patron experience
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in customer service, event management, or theatre operations is a plus
- A passion for live theatre and audience engagement
- Availability for performances and occasional rehearsals or training sessions
