UP NEXT AT HIGH TIDE
A cult-favorite musical about life, death, and one very strange ride is up next at High Tide.
Ride the Cyclone by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell follows the Saint Cassian High School Chamber Choir after a freak roller coaster accident sends them into a carnival-like limbo. There, a mechanical fortune-teller offers them one impossible prize: the chance for one of them to return to life.
Darkly funny, wildly theatrical, and unexpectedly heartfelt, Ride the Cyclone blends genre-hopping songs, sharp comedy, and deeply human storytelling into a musical unlike anything else. Equal parts bizarre, hilarious, haunting, and sincere, this cult favorite asks what it means to be remembered, what it means to be seen, and what it means to truly live.
Performances run August 28–September 12 at The Lightroom Lounge at Martha’s Vineyard. Limited seating. VIP Tables for Two are available.
Recommended Rating: PG-13
Content Notes: Dark comedy, depictions of death, mature themes, and strong language.
Runtime: Approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes with no intermission.
