About Little Shop of Horrors

Little Shop of Horrors is a dark comedy musical with music by Alan Menken and book and lyrics by Howard Ashman. Inspired by the 1960 film of the same name, the show blends rock, doo-wop, Motown, and musical theatre styles to tell the story of Seymour Krelborn, a meek florist whose discovery of a mysterious plant promises fame, fortune, and horrifying consequences.

At its core, Little Shop of Horrors is a satire about ambition, morality, capitalism, and the cost of selling your soul, wrapped in a fast-paced, funny, and surprisingly heartfelt musical.
