Every Brilliant Thing is a poignant and uplifting play by Duncan Macmillan, exploring themes of love, loss, and the search for meaning in life. The story unfolds through the eyes of a young person who begins to compile a list of all the brilliant things in life—simple joys and moments of beauty—to help their mother, who struggles with depression.

As the list grows, so does the narrative, intertwining personal anecdotes with universal truths about human experience. The audience is invited to participate in the storytelling, creating an interactive and intimate atmosphere that fosters connection. Through humor and heartache, the play navigates complex emotions, reminding us of the importance of hope and the little things that make life worth living.

Every Brilliant Thing ultimately celebrates resilience and the power of community, offering a profound message that even in the darkest times, there are countless reasons to cherish life. Its blend of humor and sincerity makes it a memorable and impactful theatrical experience that resonates deeply with audiences.
