This Relaxed Performance of God of Carnage is designed to create a welcoming and inclusive theatre environment for audience members who may benefit from a more flexible experience.

During this performance, the theatre environment will be adjusted to reduce sensory intensity. Audience members are welcome to move, make noise, or leave and re-enter the space as needed. Sensory guidebooks will be available for this performance.

About the Show 

God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza is a razor-sharp comedy that begins with civility and quickly unravels into chaos. 

 

When two sets of parents meet to discuss a playground altercation between their children, the conversation starts politely—measured, rational, and well-intentioned. But as the evening progresses, social niceties fall away, revealing deep-seated resentments, fragile egos, and the absurdity of adult behavior. 

 

With biting wit and relentless momentum, God of Carnage exposes the thin veneer of politeness that separates “civilized” society from total disorder. What unfolds is a brutally funny and uncomfortably honest look at marriage, parenting, and the human instinct for self-preservation. 

 

This play is fast, fierce, and unapologetically adult—an intimate theatrical experience that thrives in close proximity and leaves audiences laughing, squirming, and reflecting long after the final line.
