High Tide Theatrical Welcomes Imari Stout as New Production Manager

Strategic Expansion of Staff Reflects Continued Growth and Community Commitment

Springfield, MO — High Tide Theatrical is proud to announce the addition of Imari Stout to its core leadership team as the organization’s new Production Manager. With this appointment, High Tide’s staff now includes three dedicated leaders: Grace Billingsley (Executive Director), Joshua David Smith (Artistic Director), and Imari Stout (Production Manager), marking a significant step in the company’s organizational development and long-term sustainability.

As Production Manager, Stout is charged with overseeing the logistical, technical, and administrative execution of all High Tide productions. Her work ensures that each production not only realizes its artistic vision but does so with operational excellence and clarity. This role is vital to supporting High Tide’s mission of fostering inclusive, accessible, and emotionally resonant theatre in the Ozarks and beyond.

A seasoned and multifaceted theater-maker, Stout brings a wealth of experience to the position. Her past performance credits include Peppa Pig’s North America and Canada Tour (Daisy), Netflix’s Mermaze Mermaidz (Harmonique – singing voice), and Springfield Little Theatre’s Cinderella (Cinderella). Beyond performance, her impact in the industry has earned her a spot on Springfield Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” for her exceptional organizational leadership and commitment to community-centered storytelling.

Most recently, Imari served as Production Manager and dramaturg for High Tide’s acclaimed production of HAIR, where she helped guide the ensemble through an exploration of the historical and cultural context of the show. Her ability to connect artistic content to meaningful dialogue and education was a defining aspect of the production’s success.

“High Tide Theatrical is thrilled to welcome Imari Stout to our team as Production Manager,” said Artistic Director Joshua David Smith.

“Imari brings a wealth of experience, an eye for detail, and a passion for creating high-quality theatrical productions. More importantly, she leads with empathy and heart, making every volunteer feel supported, valued, and truly at home in our space. Her commitment to community, both on and off the stage, is a perfect reflection of High Tide’s mission. Imari is not only an incredible collaborator, but also a joy to be around. We’re honored to have her join us and can’t wait for what’s ahead.”

Jamie McGranahan, member of the High Tide Board of Directors, echoed this sentiment:

“Imari brings a person-centered focus to the team. She has a deep level of awareness of the needs and feelings of those around her and can quickly find how to connect with people and build community. Her genuine concern to make the world better is a valuable asset when sharing the arts with others.”

From Grace Billingsley, Executive Director:

“High Tide Theatrical is growing faster than ever, and with that growth comes the need for thoughtful, strategic leadership. Adding a Production Manager is an essential step in scaling our operations without compromising on quality or care. Imari is the perfect person for this role: she’s not only deeply experienced, but also aligns with our values of collaboration, inclusion, and joyful artistry. Her presence strengthens our infrastructure and ensures that we can meet the rising demand for our work while remaining nimble, innovative, and artist-first.”

With the addition of Stout, High Tide is poised to further expand its artistic reach while reinforcing the organizational systems that support its productions, volunteers, and audiences alike.
